The Arboretum covers 600 acres, and has over 18,000 trees. It is one of the best collections of trees and shrubs in the world. Of particular note are the magnolias, rhododendrons and azaleas. Silk Wood has been extensively restored and has a spectacular showing of wild flowers in spring
